My 15 Minutes of Fame

Seeing as I probably never will get the chance to be in a major motion picture again, I felt the need to record my 15 minutes (milliseconds) of fame. Since the trailer for Perks came out, I've been watching it screen by screen to find all my friends and different areas of my high school, middle school, and my beautiful hometown, Pittsburgh.  So finally, I figured I'd just take a couple screen shots instead.  The first picture is obviously of the homecoming dance (note the banner), which was filmed in my old middle school, and was my first day of working as an extra last summer.  There I am sitting in the periwinkle blue dress to the right of Logan Lerman, who plays Charlie! In this cafeteria, fight scene screen shot (and my last day of filming), I'm the mass of hair in the back-left side of the screen, right underneath the window. Perks News

Soooo  The Perks of Being a Wallflower trailer  just came out!!!! I'm super psyched because you can even see me in a few of the scenes (like sitting on the bleachers during the Homecoming Dance and the Lunch/Fight clips)!  I cannot wait until September when it finally hits theaters! Also, I'm on the screen in the trailer right before Emma Watson's dancing in my old middle school! Haha it seems so crazy. :) This is a super short blog, but I wanted to record the trailer's release on the actual day it came out. Woot!!!!

Now, Chbosky happened to grow up in the next township over from where I live, and his book was set in the area, Pittsburgh and its suburbs (as a side note, the novel is very enjoyab le and a quick and easy read, so I highly recommend it). Because his high school was deemed "too modern" to be set in the 90's, the movie was filmed at the middle school and high school in my township. And, of all the quinkydinks in the world, Emma Watson was to star in this movie (along with Logan Lerman, Johnny Simmons, Nina Dobrev, and Paul Rudd). Now, anyone who knows me basically identifies me by my Harry Potter obsession. In fact, I had been planning a ...
